A busy week for sports will see the tennis team seek to send individuals to state while track, golf, softball and baseball also continue their seasons.

The start of the final six weeks of the school year is a busy one for sports, as tennis, golf, and track continue post-season runs and the regular season rolls on for baseball and softball.

Shivkar Amara, Tiffany Guan, Ethan Kim, Natasha Long, Adarsh Melukote, Thanh Nguyen, and Katherine Xia have all advanced to the regional round in tennis, which takes place at Rockwall Monday and Tuesday. The team hopes to send a player to state, as they did last year with Camilla Pujol.

The track team will participate in the area round on Thursday in Wylie with the hope of sending , either a relay team or an individuals to the regional round.

The girls’ golf team advanced to the state tournament for the third straight year, winning by over 27 strokes in the regional round. The team of five girls will look to bring home the school’s first state golf title next week in Lost Pines outside of Austin.

Baseball and softball will be continuing their seasons, as the baseball team will take on The Colony and Centennial, and softball will be playing Heritage and and Frisco.
