Review: Upscale comfort food at Jasper’s
March 15, 2016
Jasper’s is an upscale American comfort food/bbq restaurant located in Plano’s outdoor shopping area, The Shops at Legacy. From the outside, diners are struck by its mysterious look. It’s window’s are extremely tinted, to the point where you can’t see anything and the building is exceptionally tall and seems to scream “fancy”.
However as soon as diners enter, they are stuck by the homeyness of it. If you’re looking for somewhere nice to go with your family, or somewhere to go after an event, Jasper’s is a good option.
Unlike a lot of other upscale restaurants, they give you a good-sized portion of food and diners will leave stuffed and satisfied.
To start, my family ordered the “Wood Roasted Carnival Cauliflower”. While I do like cauliflower, it’s not one of my favorite foods- but the cauliflower served to us was amazing. To this day, I dream about that cauliflower. It was seasoned perfectly, presented nicely, and an incredible start to the meal. I was extremely happy with the appetizer, and it made me excited for what’s to come.
Our waiter was lovely, and made sure to refill our drinks often. He answered questions quickly; you could tell he knew everything there was to know about each dish. Our entrees came out pretty quickly thereafter. I had the ‘Jasper’s Caesar Salad’ while everyone at the table shared the side of ‘Hand Cut French Fries’.
Everything was amazing. The selection of food was vast- but not too overwhelming. The food was prepared nicely, tasted amazing, and completely worth the price. I also tried my mother’s Ahi Tuna, and was pleasantly surprised. It was all so good. Diners will appreciate the overall atmosphere, and even more the food. No one will leave disappointed.
