Bringing South Asian and Mediterranean culture through an American restaurant, Signature Kabab & Grill introduces a wide variety of dishes, scents, and colors that remind one of home.

Walking in, the customers are immediately greeted by the main host, and a masala scented air and seated. Designed with neutral colors and yellow lights, as most traditional restaurants in Pakistan are, it evoked a sense of comfortability. The beige fabrics, Arabic calligraphy, lights, and mirrors surrounded the wall with cool stone tiles.

The menu was quickly brought to the customers with friendly and interactive employees. There are a variety of sandwiches, rice-based dishes, rolls, chicken tenders or wings, barbequed sizzlers, and even curry dishes. Three entrees were served along with a drink.

The food took longer than expected to be served as the restaurant was also catering for a wedding. The expected serving time was 20 minutes, however, the food did not arrive until 35 minutes later.

Among the first to arrive was a bowl of Chicken Biryani, and the scent of the rice-based dish instantly filled the air. There is a proportionate amount of chicken and rice and a fair amount of masala. Unlike other restaurants where Biryani dishes are filled with excessive amounts of Masala and spices, there were fewer condiments and more rice.

The Signature Jalapeno Cheese Burger was next. The burger was a basic, average burger with a simple patty, lettuce, mayonnaise, melting cheese, and jalapeno. Most of the condiments were falling with each bite, and the patty was more on the harder side, difficult to eat at times. It was set aside.

The Chicken Tikka Boti roll and Bihari Kabab roll arrived together at last. Both were constructed similarly with meat, lettuce, raita, and other ingredients, and consisted of soft tandoori bread that was easy to bite in. The chicken and Bihari kabab were complimented well by the raita and other sauces, and the condiments were minimal but filling.

Feeling as if on the streets of South Asia, the soft carbonated Pakola drink was necessary after a heavy meal. The cool drink was sweet and lychee flavored, however, there were other flavors available such as lime, raspberry, and orange.

Signature Kabab & Grill has friendly service and home-cooked meals great for bringing people and culture together, making it a good choice for a casual dinner with friends and family.
