The volleyball team headed to The Den on Tuesday to face the Reedy Lions, but fell in four sets 3-1.

“The girls did a good job of working on what we practiced while preparing for the game and battled hard in the 3rd and 4th set,” assistant coach Taylor Ruesch said. “Reedy was a good team and we just made too many errors to pull out the win.”

Despite the loss, the girls hope to redeem themselves on Friday at 5:30 p.m. against Frisco High School at The Nest.

“We are expecting on Friday to work really hard during the game to prepare us for the Argyle game,” senior Campbell Peters said. “We are working on having stamina and whenever we are up, staying consistent throughout the game.”

In preparation to take on Frisco, the team will be applying what they learned from their loss to the Lions.

“I think we are going into the game on Friday in a really great position,” Ruesch said. “The girls have learned from our loss on Tuesday and are ready to do what it takes to beat Frisco. I think the biggest challenge for our girls will be keeping the game going at our pace rather than our competition.”
