The first nine weeks of the school year is coming to an end Friday. For students in sports, this is also an eligibility checkpoint.

It may be hard to believe, but the 2022-23 school year is already near the first quarter mark, and the first 9-week grading period ends Friday with these first nine week grades half of a student’s semester grade.

For students in extracurricular activities, the end of the grading period is also an eligibility checkpoint.

Students’ eligibility may be at risk for sports and other electives if they are not passing certain classes.

But students there were ineligible after the six-week progress report can regain eligibility if they are now passing.

The start of the next nine week grading period begins on Monday with the semester ending on December 22.
