As it was a relatively slow week for new music albums being released – and not to mention a whole month being passed since the previous “new singles” update – here are the most recent new singles listeners can listen to:

For the rap/hip-hop lovers, 2 Chainz came out with the upbeat “2 Step (From the new ‘House Party’ Original Motion Picture Soundtrack).” The trumpets, the sampling production, and the 90s rapping style make the song as catchy as it is. Next, an artist I haven’t heard from in a while: Pink Sweat$ released “Lay Up N’ Chill (feat. A Boogie Wit da Hoodie)” – a song for those who prefer chill hip-hop. Last but not least, Robert Glasper came out with a jazzy hip hop song featuring the late Mac Miller on “Therapy pt. 2 [Feat. Mac Miller].”

On the contrary, there were many pop releases this past week for the pop lovers. The group Queen released “Face it Alone” just sounds like it was made by Queen, an honor amongst the highest, if I’m being honest. Speaking of nostalgic artists, Bruce Springsteen came out with two singles: “Nightshift” and “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do).”

Of course, there are many more that deserve to have a place on this list, but these may be some that you may have missed trying to find music by people you may recognize.
