In order to educate students and the community, a plastic bag is being held on campus until Friday.

“The purpose of our plastic bag drive is to educate our school and community about the contaminants that we want to avoid in our single stream recycling that we do here on a weekly basis,” teacher Alice Fruth said. “Anybody who’s interested in participating in the plastic bag drive can drop off their bags to my room and see 120 before the start of school on Monday the 24th.”

Along with educating, there are also service hours available for those who participate in the drive.

“And I’m offering NHS hours and volunteer hours for individuals who bring me at least two plastic bags filled with plastic bags,” Fruth said. “You’ll get one community service hour for that, and if you bring me three or more, you will get up to two community service hours”

All donations need to be brought by Friday in room C120.
