The girls’ basketball team faces the Mavericks on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Emerson High School for a District 10-5A matchup.

“We are focusing on execution to get better regardless of the opponent,” associate head coach Dawnielle Kiel said. “More precision, playing with our individual and collective strengths, more aggressive rebounding, clinical in our defensive principles.”

The girls currently sit in first place in District 10-5A, and are looking to add another win to their 7-1 record in district.

“Heading into the next game against Emerson we are focusing on getting out plays to run smoother and situational scenarios,” freshman Jacy Abii said. “Along with ensuring that our motor continues to run well even when starters are not in.”
