The Redhawks track and field team competed in the Little Elm Lobo Invitational on Saturday, with the boys coming in first as a team and the girls in third.

“The meet Saturday was good overall,” senior Gianna Antovoni said. “The varsity’s girls got third and we are working our way up to win at district.”

Now the team looks towards the District 10-5A meet on April 12 where expectations are high.

“I am working on my speed training,” Antovoni said. “I am pretty prepared in the aspect of endurance so now I’m just cutting my times down each practice and working hard this week and next so once it’s time for meet day I’m ready.”
