Frisco ISD will be holding its ESL Family Resource Fair Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the FISD Hall of Honor. The purpose of the event is to provide non-native English speakers with opportunities to grow in their second language.

The standard ESL program is for any students that speak English as their second language.

Frisco ISD is offering tutoring opportunities for students who are non-native English speakers at the ESL Resource Fair Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Frisco ISD Hall of Honor

During the fair, students and parents will be able to meet ESL teachers.

However, to qualify for ESL students must meet certain scores.

“Student eligibility for the program is determined through the administration of an English language proficiency test, and parent permission is required for entrance into the program,” as mentioned in a recent FISD news release. “All instruction is provided in English and utilizes the TEKS and the ELPS for the cultivation of English language skills and the promotion of academic success in all grade level content areas.”
