Two weeks into the school year, students now have freedom to move around the school during advisory.
The 30 minute advisory takes place between second and third period and is designed to give students extra time to make up work for classes or get additional help.
“I enjoy it because it gives me a chance to catch up on stuff,” freshman Colby Hadall said. “If I’m failing a class, it gives a chance to finish it and get my grade higher.”
For students that do not want to spend time in the classroom they may go to the cafeteria or library.
“I enjoy advisory because sometimes it’s just a break from classes,” sophomore Anna Knight said. “You can just spend time with your friends, get lunch, and go to the library and just take a break.
However, students may not roam the hallways and must be in an approved area during advisory.
The advisory period starts Monday and goes from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
