The Redhawk volleyball team travels to take on Braswell Friday at 6:30 p.m. as the team continues non-district play.
“I’m feeling excited to play a team outside of Frisco,” head volleyball coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “I feel like we haven’t competed a lot recently against teams not in the area, so it will just good to play something different. “
For every game, the team conducts scouting reports of the other team. This includes watching films and looking at statistics of the opponent. Having only played Braswell in scrimmages in years past, the scouting report is even more critical this game.
“We do a scouting report, and then when we play against each other in practice,” junior Brooklyn Brown said. “We try to apply what we saw from the other team and strategize ways to score.”
After their scouting, Brown has found the Redhawks will have an advantage on the court.
“We are better at staying calm whenever we are down,” She said. “I think that will help us a lot and will be able to hopefully come out on top.
