AP Psychology is taking a hands-on approach at learning by having students use their outdoor resources to construct a natural version of body’s nervous system.
For sophomore Sydney Kiely, this is a great way to have a visual of the content they are learning.
“We’re learning about the biological structure of the nervous system and stuff,” Kiely said. “So we’re trying to craft neurons out of leaves and sticks to visualize the neuron.”
This activity is helping junior Rama Velineni understand and retain information better.
“What I like about the project is that it’s a change of setting,” Velineni said. “We’re working together, it’s hands-on, and it helps us learn better and do better on the tests and quizzes.”
