Wingspan: What inspired you to play the harp?

Singh: “I started playing the harp in the sixth grade. I’d seen a lot of videos of people playing the harp and there was this one Youtube channel with those who played the harp and that really inspired me.”

Wingspan: What is your favorite part of playing the harp?

Singh: “My favorite part is people’s reaction when I tell them I play the harp. It’s also really rewarding when I play a piece and it sounds really nice.

Wingspan: What are some challenges with playing the harp?

Singh: “I get a lot of blisters on my fingers and I have to spend a lot of time every day practicing my instrument.”

Wingspan: Would you ever consider playing the harp in the future? Why or why not?

Singh: “I would consider playing the  harp in college but not as a major. I would for sure join the orchestra just to keep it in my life.”
