The first half of competition for the 2023-24 school year came to a close for Redhawks tennis following a 10-0 loss to the #2 state-ranked Wakeland Wolverines Tuesday.
Despite this being the team’s third straight defeat, head coach William Davis believes that the team fought hard and was able to accomplish most of their goals for the season.
“[We] left it all out on the court [in] a great season,” Davis said. “[We’re] looking forward to a great offseason before hitting the tournament trail in the spring.”
With the team hoping to bounce back in a matter of months, senior Purnoor Sharma knows that there is a lot of work for them to do to improve.
“I definitely need to improve my consistency [with] long rallies before [tournaments],” Sharma said.”
