Soccer kicked off their season Friday with some scrimmages.
For the girls’ team, that meant facing Reedy. Being outscored (3-1) isn’t something coaches favor, but for head coach Kyle Beggs, the result wasn’t the goal.
“We don’t need to get caught up in that because it is a practice,” head girls’ coach Kyle Beggs siad. “Ultimately its’ a scrimmage, I think we built some team chemistry, we found out where some people fit into that puzzle piece to make that big picture, kind of work.”
On the boys’ side, that meant taking on Panther Creek,
“We played well in the first half and created a ton of chances,” senior Aaron Xu said. “Unfortunately, we didn’t capitalize on as many of those chances as we should’ve, and that cost us in the second half. Overall, it was a solid first game and I’m proud of how we fought as a team.”
