Neither the boys’ nor the girls’ soccer teams could not find the back of the net on Tuesday, when both teams lost in preseason games. The girls lost 1-0 to Mansfield, while the boys lost 2-0 to McKinney North.
Even though coming out with a loss, sophomore Caitlyn Ruback thinks the team did well in some areas.
“I would say we did well at communicating on the field and defensively not letting our opponent score easily,” Ruback said.
Junior David Verduzco also finds positives, but believes there is still work needed to be done.
“As a team we are very connected and our chemistry really helps us create some great plays and moments in games,” he said. “I believe that there is a lot of work that can be done in our attacking phases of the game.”
