The boys’ basketball team hosts the 2-5 Emerson Mavericks at The Nest Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. in the second round of District 10-5A play.
“We expect Emerson to be hungry,” assistant coach Bo Wilson said. “We were their first district game, and gave them their first district loss at their house. I’m sure they’re going to be ready to go at tip-off. We’re excited to be part of what should be a fast-paced and intense basketball game.”
After beating the Mavericks 70-58 in the first round of district play, senior Emory Williams believes the Redhawks can accomplish the feat again.
“I have good expectations for us tomorrow,” Williams said. “We played really strong against Emerson the first time and I’m very confident in our ability to beat them again tomorrow.”
