Soccer took on Heritage on Friday, in their second District 10-5A games of the season. However, both teams ultimately ended up falling to the Coyotes, putting both teams at 0-2 in district play.
The boys were just one goal short of a tie, losing 2-1 to the Coyote, learning the need to capitalize on more goal scoring opportunities.
“It was a fine game, we obviously hoped for a win,” junior Hector Jenkins said. “It was a closer game than we thought, and we learned we need to take advantage of all of our chances.”
On the other side, the girls struggled to find the net, losing 2-0.
“It’s really frustrating starting 0-2 in our season,” junior Lily Gibbons said. “But we just need to learn and move on to our next match up.”
