All eyes are on them, as soccer plays under stadium lights Tuesday for the first time this season when they take on Memorial. Both teams are 0-2, searching for their first wins of District 10-5A play.
“Tonight we know that Memorial lives on counterattacks,” head boys’ coach Evan McGee said. “So we are kinda adapting our formation and shape to be prepared for them and that style.”
The game will be held at Toyota Stadium with the girls playing at 5:30 p.m. and the boys playing at 7:00 p.m. The stadium has seen many famous soccer players on its pitch including Lionel Messi in August of 2023.
“I’m pretty excited,” senior Cate Butcher said. “It puts a lot more pressure on you so you want to play a lot better, so I think that will help us.”
