Board of Trustees filing deadline coming up

The Board of Trustees is having their monthly meeting Tuesday. They plan to recognize the Redhawk girls’ basketball team for their win at the state championship, along with several other agenda items.

The filing window for Frisco ISD citizens interested in running for the school board closes on Saturday.

Packets regarding the application can be picked up at the main reception desk in the FISD Administration Building Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Two places are available on this year’s ballot: Place 6 and Place 7.

Students have until Friday to submit their creative works for PTSA’s Reflections contest, themed “Accepting Imperfection,” across six categories, with the opportunity to showcase individuality and earn recognition while emphasizing the value of the arts.

Students competed at Youth and Government Districts Saturday at Duncanville High School. Two students won Distinguished Delegate in their respective committees and they will be advancing to state in Austin.

Carolina Dulce Craft, inspired to become a nurse after her father’s stroke, has over seven years of hospital experience, including time as a travel nurse. This year, she’s taken on the role of a school nurse, focusing on student health and education. (Liberty High School)

Due to construction in Downtown Frisco on Main Street, the annual Veterans Day Parade has been canceled until November 2026.

Joaquin Perez is a Senior in his fourth year of broadcast and is an Executive Producer this year for the WTV Daily Update. He is also Student Council President, and a Best Buddies Officer in PTSA and in NHS. For fun, Joaquin likes to hang out with his friends, watch TV, and cook.
