In their last game of the season, the boys’ basketball team hosts their rivals, the Centennial Titans, at The Nest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
For the four seniors on the team, Tuesday night will be the end of an era.
“I feel a little sad since it is my last high school game,” senior Reuben Levingston said. “Looking back, [I had] a lot of good times in the program and memories I made with my teammates, especially the seniors who’ve been with me since we tried out our freshman year.”
When the Redhawks faced the Titans in the first round of District 10-5A play, they lost 45-40. This time around they hope to learn from their mistakes and end the season on a positive note.
“[Last time] we jumped out to a big lead, then let off the gas a little too early. We’re excited because we get to have our biggest rival as the last district game of the season. It really doesn’t get any better than that,” assistant coach Bo Wilson said.
