Soccer heads into their second half of District 10-5A play on Tuesday as both teams take on Walnut Grove for the second time this season. The first time around the boys and girls both lost to the Wildcats.
The girls head into the second half of district play hoping to turn over a new leaf, still in search of their first win.
“What we need to do as a team to beat Walnut Grove is score and communicate better on the field,” sophomore Katie Meeks said.
On the other hand, the boys have not lost in their past four games, and head into Tuesday with revenge on the Wildcats.
“So Walnut Grove, they’re not first place in the district, but I think they’re the toughest team in the district that we’ve played,” head coach Evan Mcgee said. “Obviously, at the time, we thought we had it figured out, but we’ve made adjustments. So coming into this next game, we’ve got great momentum going on, and we have the confidence to go in and get a result.”
