The Red Rhythm dance team had their annual contests on the past two weekends and won Grand Champion both weekends in a row.
The show displayed choreography created by dance officers, team member, and directors, who have been working together to create contest-worthy routines.
“I’m super proud of our team this year,” senior Sonia Harrington said. “We did amazing our contests, all the hours, all the morning practices that we put in this year definitely did reflect that contest. We added an extra morning practice and I think that really helped us this year and I’m extremely proud of all the girls on our team.”
Having back-to-back contests less than a week apart can be challenging, but for Red Rhythm, their passion for dance kept them motivated, according to assistant drill team director Sydney Mooty.
“I think what motivates the team is their passion for dance and their passion for one another,” Mooty said. “They are very hardworking, they work together as a team, and getting to show off their dances and hardwork, you can get to see their passion as well.”
