Taking on Lebanon Trail at The Nest on Tuesday, the Redhawks baseball team scraped out a 5-4 victory in eight innings with a walk-off win to improve to 3-0 in District 10-5A.
“It was a great team win,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “Proud of the fight in our guys.”
Still early in District 10-5A play, the team recognizes that the stakes are much higher.
“Guys know their roles, they know every pitch matters, it’s magnified,” McGarrh said. “What we did or didn’t do during tourney time doesn’t matter, it’s all about how we play from here on out.”
Sophomore Nick Smith hopes to help the team as they move through district play.
“Personally, I would like to contribute to team success whether that be on the mound or hitting,” Smith said.
