From gumbo to savory snow crab legs, Frisco’s The Green Gator Restaurant is definitely the place to be if you crave bold and spicy Southern and Cajun flavors.
The moment you enter the restaurant, there’s a comforting feeling of home as country music is the soundtrack, the alligator-themed decor, and the drawing dim lights.
Unsurprisingly, The Green Gator’s fried alligator dish is the main hit in the restaurant. The alligator has a flaky fried batter alongside its savory seasoning blend and is accompanied by a homemade herby, creole red sauce, and a bedding of vegetable leaves.
Meanwhile, the crab stuffed mushrooms are piping hot mushrooms with hand-formed crab batter encased inside each one. These are laid in a strong yet not-too-heavy creamy shrimp sauce made from cheese and heavy cream.
The sesame-crusted ahi tuna salad includes sesame seed-coated slices of tuna with its edges cooked and an untouched center placed on a simple green salad alongside cucumber and tomato slices. Trying it with a drizzle of casuabi (cucumber mayo with hints of wasabi and teriyaki dressing) adds a brisk sweet and light flavor to the overall dish.
With amazing service, gator-themed decoration, cajun palettes, and tasty meals, The Green Gator Restaurant may soon become one of your new Frisco favorites.
