The Redhawks softball team takes on the Trail Blazers at Lebanon Trail High School for their final game of the season on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Head Coach Baylea Higgs is hopeful the team can close out the season with a successful game, showing improvements throughout the season.
“I just really want the girls to have fun and take down Lebanon, like it’s their last game and it’s a beatable team so I want the girls to embrace it and have a good time,” she said.
Last time the Redhawks faced the Trail Blazers, they fell short, losing 3-2. Higgs hopes that they can execute on Wednesday and bring back a win.
“We just barely lost last time,” Higgs said. “It was a tough game and I think knowing we can win will help us compete on Wednesday.”
Freshman Anna Reeves agrees with Higgs, hoping to play well and have a fun game to end the season.
“Not making it to the playoffs is a little disappointing,” Reeves said. “But we wanna make the best of the rest of the season and I think tonight’s a good opportunity to just go out and have fun, without the pressure of playoffs.”
