If I do not get the proper medication I will die. That’s the easiest way to put it.
Although I’m open to it being public knowledge, not many people know my best fun fact. “It” being my rare autoimmune disease I suffer from and all of the bells and whistles that surround it. It is not exactly easy to bring up in conversation, but now I’m putting it on full blast. This year I will be starting my new column that will take a deep dive into some of the hidden struggles around my condition and the lessons it has taught me. In a matter of two years, my life has completely changed with my diagnosis and I am still learning, managing, and coping with all of the “new”. No matter the size of the problems in your life we can relate on some level and help each other.
Next week I will explain the basis of my condition and how I got diagnosed. I can’t wait to share my story with you! Remember our struggles don’t define us.
