Throughout the first four days of school, administration conducted class meetings. Starting with freshman on Monday, each day through Thursday has had a designated meeting for each grade level to go over school expectations and social contracts.
“During advisory, the last week, we have brought in every class individually and really made sure everyone was aware of the expectations, and general campus rules,” Associate Principal Tyler Wicke said. “The most important things we covered are the things that have changed for the people who have been on campus. For example, closed advisories on Fridays, academic dishonesty policy, and the other minor tweaks.”
Senior, Sophia Hung, understands the importance of these meetings and reflects on their past success.
“It does annoy me sometimes that we have to stay in second period for the first two weeks,” senior Sophia Hung said. “However, I do understand why we do it. The freshman need to learn the rules and some of the other grades really need to relearn them.”
Wicke and the administration hopes this will solidify the expectations and clear up any misconceptions.
“The biggest and most important thing is that everyone knows, so nobody can say, or do something without knowing it’s wrong,” Wicke said.
