The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees is holding their monthly meeting on Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to discuss the 2024 tax rate, budget amendments, and classroom supply stipends for teachers, among many other topics.
After a brief closed meeting, the Board of Trustees will recognize Baylor Scott and White – Centennial as a Partner in Education, discuss the Efficiency Audit Report, and hold a hearing to set the 2024 tax rate, before opening the floor to public comments.
The Board will then approve minutes from previous meetings, select and nominate Board representatives to the 2024 TASB Delegate Assembly, TIRZ Board of Directors and FEDC and elect a Board of Trustees parliamentarian.
The Board will also set the tax ratification and bond election and approve school supply stipend resolutions, construction contract templates, and General Fund and Child Nutrition Fund budget amendments, before considering an expulsion appeal and acting on the student code of conduct for the 2024-2025 school year.
In addition, the Board of Trustees will address remote conferencing for students in treatment, recommended employment contracts, and select the Internal Auditor. They will also make changes to the teacher appraisal systems for the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (TTESS) and the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (TPESS), revise local policies, and update Board Operating Procedures.
The Board will then act on an approved memorandum of understanding between FISD and Behavior Network, construction manager approval, vendor qualifications, final change orders for Panther Creek High School and Wilkinson Middle School, and agreements with various companies, including HI_K9 Consultants LLC, Lone Star Communications Inc, PortionPac Chemical CorpPCAT, Timeclock Plus, Seesaw Learning, Proximity Learning, Education Service Center Region 10, and Education Service Center Region 10 – TEKSbank.
Finally, the Board of Trustees will address tax reports from Mayand June, a quarterly investment report, purchases over $100,000 in June and July, and a PIR report.
