After being defeated 14-5 by Lebanon Trail, the Redhawks tennis team is looking to turn things around for the match against Centennial on Tuesday.
“The Centennial match is going to be extremely tough, they are ranked #1 in the state and are defending state champions,” assistant coach David Sands said. “I would say that our team needs to come out with a lot of energy and give it all they have got. One of the areas we will focus on is doubles and coming out with as many points as possible after doubles.”
Junior Avani Chinwan is focusing on improving specific skills in order to prepare for the upcoming match.
“We have been doing more drills based on our weaknesses to improve and prepare for the match against Centennial,” Chinwan said. “Also, we are focusing more on tiebreaks to improve our record.”
