Taking a day away from school, the Redhawks cross country teams competed in the DUBEast Meet in Wylie on Friday with the girls’ team finishing in 4th, and the boys’ team taking 12th.
“The team is improving each meet and setting higher goals for themselves,” boys’ head coach Robbie Thayer said. “It was a difficult meet but the kids were able to push through and do great. I’m looking forward to our runners continuing to improve and do great.”
Friday’s meet was the team’s third of the year with several runners setting new standards for themselves.
“The meet was pretty good, I got a personal record,” varsity runner Clark Kinneer said. “I’m looking forward to many more meets in the future.”
