After losing 14-5 against Lebanon Trail, the Redhawk tennis team walked away with a 17-2 loss to the defending state champions Centennial Titans on Tuesday, but the team is looking to change things to do better next time.
“After the match the team felt they fought hard and did their best,” head coach David Sands said. “Centennial is the toughest team in the state so we knew it would be a difficult match. We are looking to concentrate on being aggressive and attacking our opponents next week.”
For junior Noyonika Banerjee it was a tough match, but the team is ready to concentrate on certain skills for the next match.
“Since they’re number one in the state, we came to accept that it was a tough loss,” Banerjee said. “But I think we really need to concentrate on our power plays.”
