Wingspan: When and why did you start cross country?
Golladay: “I started cross country in middle school because I stopped playing soccer and knew I wanted to continue running.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite part about cross country?
Golladay: “My favorite part about cross country is the team aspect because it’s a challenging sport but we always get each other through tough practices and meets.”
Wingspan: How do you maintain shape throughout the year?
Golladay: “I stay in shape throughout the year because once cross country is done I go straight to track season and training.”
Wingspan: Who is your biggest inspiration?
Golladay: “Coach Vay because I wouldn’t have achieved all that I have without her coaching and advice. She teaches me a lot inside and outside of the sport.”
Wingspan: Who is your biggest supporter?
Golladay: “My whole family because they come to every single one of my meets and always cheer me on.”
Wingspan: What are your goals for this season?
Golladay: “My goals for this season are to run sub 19 and make it back to state as a team.”
Wingspan: Do you plan to pursue cross country after high school?
Golladay: “Although it’s been fun I don’t plan on running cross country after high school because I want to focus on my major going into college.”
