Successfully defending their winning streak, the Redhawks volleyball team took down Lone Star 3-1 in an away match Tuesday, the team’s final non-district contest of the season.
“We defended their hitters well and served tough,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We were really locked in on our scouting report and did a good job of communicating about where their best players were on the court, [but] we need to work on defending tips.”
Junior Jaiden Harris believes that a sense of realism was key to the Redhawks’ success.
“We can only control our side of the court,” Harris said. “But we kept the ball in play and did what we needed to do in order to be successful.”
