The first match of District 11-5A play for volleyball ended in a 3-0 loss to the Frisco High Raccoons Friday, bringing the Redhawks’ win streak to a close.
“We did not feel good about the loss,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We were not strong defensively at the net or in the back row. We also struggled with consistency when hitting. Hopefully the girls learned an important lesson, we cannot underestimate teams.”
Despite the loss, players such as senior Brianna Walsh are not discouraged.
“We will continue to work on finding ways to score,” Walsh said. “We will be playing some strong competition this season and since it’s easy to get too high or too low, we just need to stay controlled and focused.”
