Going into their third match of District 11-5A play, the volleyball team (1-1), now sitting in fifth place, seeks to rack up a win against the first-place Centennial Titans (2-0) when the two teams go head to head at The Nest Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Head coach Eighmy Dobbins is counting on knowledge of the Titans’ strengths for the Redhawks to pull off a win.
“We want to defend their pin hitters well [because] Centennial is strong on the pins, and we are more spread out offensively which is good for us,” Dobbins said. “We are excited to compete but need to be really good about identifying where their hitters are and executing our game plan.”
As consistency has been plaguing the Redhawks intermittently throughout their season according to the team, sophomore Riley Wong believes it will need to be a primary area of focus on Friday.
“‘We will just need to try and stay focused and put together both offensively and defensively throughout all of the sets,” Wong said
