Maintaining their fifth-place standing in District 11-5A, the volleyball team (2-1) swept the Centennial Titans (2-1) 3-0 Friday, bumping the Titans down one place from their former first-place standing.
“[We feel] really good [about the win],” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We defended their offensive tendencies, which was the main priority for us, and stayed focused on our scouting report. We did not take any points off throughout the match.”
With all District 11-5A teams having played three games, there’s not much separation between first and last place, but for senior Morgan Ferguson, Friday’s win puts the team in a good place.
“This match was a really good one for us,” Ferguson said. “We won in three sets and it feels good to now have two wins in a row after our most recent loss and also to get another win under our belt before our next match.”
