National Literacy month is being celebrated this September promoting reading among all generations. However, the main group in mind to inspire is children, as the month is hoping to motivate kids to further their developing brains.

Joaquin Perez, Executive Producer
Joaquin Perez is a Senior in his fourth year of broadcast and is an Executive Producer this year for the WTV Daily Update. He is also Student Council President, and a Best Buddies Officer in PTSA and in NHS. For fun, Joaquin likes to hang out with his friends, watch TV, and cook. He is excited to take on being an executive producer this school year and can’t wait to make content for WTV.

Christine Han is a senior and this will be her third year on the Wingspan staff. She manages social media for Wingspan and is also a photographer. She will be participating in her 4th year with the CTE Competitive Mock Trial Team. In her free time she likes to work in various women’s rights groups, read books, watch movies, and hang out with her friends. If she’s not too busy, she also likes to bake.
