Auditions to be a part of this school year’s musical, The Hunch Back of Notre Dame, is now open. Beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, students have the opportunity to participate in the first round of auditions, which includes: acting, singing, and dancing.
Dance teacher Nicole Nothe is excited to be a part of the theater process, combining both traditional aspects of theater and dance.
“First off we’re really excited that it’s a musical year,” Nothe said. “It’s a big deal, and we get to see new students step up and get involved in the process.”
Theater Director, Kristopher “KA” Allen, encourages students to come and try out no matter their interests or experience.
“Just come show us what you can do and show off and have fun,” Allen said. “Don’t worry about doing good, you’ll be good because it’s you.”
Theater student, sophomore Analise Serna, has been anticipating the audition and is looking forward to the production.
“I’m most excited for learning the cuts and the dancing because it’s a whole lot of fun,” Serna said. “I love working with Ms.Nothe and everyone else in the fine arts department.”
Callbacks for specific roles will be announced Monday night and will be taking place on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
