Maintaining their third-place standing in District 11-5A, the volleyball team (4-1) scored a 3-0 victory against the sixth-place Independence Knights (1-4) at The Nest Friday.
In the eyes of head coach Eighmy Dobbins, the Redhawks’ success was the result of two factors.
“All of the sets were very good battles,” Dobbins said. “Our communication and defense were both very strong and contributed heavily to our win.”
Junior Kayleigh Cox agrees with Dobbins, sharing the sentiment that the Redhawks were well prepared for their match.
“We had a solid game plan and I feel like we executed it the best that we could,” Cox said.
