Competing against the Memorial Warriors (4-2) for the second time this season Tuesday, the volleyball team (5-1) came out on top once again by a score of 3-0, moving into a tie for first place in the District 11-5A standings.
Put simply, in the immortal words of Creed lead singer Scott Stapp, it was a match that took the Redhawks “higher”.
Head coach Eighmy Dobbins explains the strategy that the team uses to be successful.
“We try to grow our player’s IQ’s as much as possible in practice, so they feel confident in their decision-making during games,” Dobbins said. “We also watch film before each game to find out where we will be most successful offensively.”
With the Redhawks sitting on a five game district winning streak, senior Morgan Ferguson has her sights locked on districts.
“My goal for this season is to win districts and get far in playoffs,” Ferguson said. “We’ve won districts the past two years and I want to keep that streak going.”
