The volleyball team (6-1) is laying both their six-game winning streak and tie with Centennial (6-1) for first in the district standings on the line as they travel to Frisco (4-3) Tuesday, seeking vengeance for their only loss in district play this season.
However, according to head coach Eighmy Dobbins, the team is ready for the challenge.
“We are ready for the rematch,” Dobbins said. “We have been more consistent lately and have been steadily improving [since we first played them]. We are hoping to play a lot cleaner and execute offensively [this time].”
According to junior Jaiden Harris, who is the District 11-5A leader in kills, with 391, some of Frisco’s strengths will require the Redhawks to put in extra work in order to secure a win.
“Working as hard as we can to find ways and places to score is definitely going to be a priority for us because of how defensively scrappy they are,” Harris said. “Our coverage of their block will also have to be really solid.”
