Three weeks and four days.
That’s how long the Redhawks volleyball team (7-1), tied for first place in District 11-5A, had to wait to get their revenge against third-place Frisco (4-4) for the Redhawks’ only defeat of the regular season.
But get their revenge they did, sweeping the Raccoons 3-0 in an away match at the Den Tuesday.
“We felt really good about the win,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We were strong defensively at the net and in the back row this time around. We also were much better with our hitting consistency.”
Despite them getting their revenge, sophomore Riley Wong says the team is not done yet.
“The win is great but there is still lots of time left in the season for us to improve,” Wong said.
