The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees is hosting its October meeting Tuesday beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees is hosting its October meeting Tuesday starting at 6:30 p.m.

Among the topics scheduled to be discussed are the district’s legislative priorities for the 89th Legislature, including school finance, assessment and accountability, and the student experience.

Students competed at Youth and Government Districts Saturday at Duncanville High School. Two students won Distinguished Delegate in their respective committees and they will be advancing to state in Austin.

Carolina Dulce Craft, inspired to become a nurse after her father’s stroke, has over seven years of hospital experience, including time as a travel nurse. This year, she’s taken on the role of a school nurse, focusing on student health and education. (Liberty High School)

Due to construction in Downtown Frisco on Main Street, the annual Veterans Day Parade has been canceled until November 2026.

Joaquin Perez, Executive Producer
Joaquin Perez is a Senior in his fourth year of broadcast and is an Executive Producer this year for the WTV Daily Update. He is also Student Council President, and a Best Buddies Officer in PTSA and in NHS. For fun, Joaquin likes to hang out with his friends, watch TV, and cook. He is excited to take on being an executive producer this school year and can’t wait to make content for WTV.

Perry Mellone is in his senior year. He is a member of the Wingspan team as a photographer. Outside of school he sticks to what he knows, taking photos and making films. He attends Elevate Life Church on a weekly basis with his family. For fun he plays basketball, golf, and video games.  After he completes high school he plans to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa or a school in Los Angeles. For a career he is interested in photography and filmmaking.
