Wingspan: When and why did you start playing football?
Reygadas: “I started playing football in the third grade. I started playing because my uncle is a high school coach and he would take me to games with him.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite part about playing football?
Reygadas: “I love that it is a team sport and playing alongside some of my good friends makes it better. The football season in general is a fun time all around.”
Wingspan: How do you stay in shape even in the offseason?
Reygadas: “In the off-season, we are working out every day in the weight room, footwork, and conditioning. I also play lacrosse in the spring which helps too.”
Wingspan: How do you cope after a bad game?
Reygadas: “After a bad game I tell myself to move on and start focusing on next week, as well as watching films to see what went wrong and how it can be fixed.”
Wingspan: What are your goals for this season?
Reygadas: “Some goals I have is to win at least one game before I graduate and to keep building good bonds with all my teammates.”
Wingspan: Does playing such a high contact sport ever scare you?
Reygadas: “No, it never scares me because I’ve been playing for so long and am used to the high contact by now. Playing scared is the best way to get hurt so I like to just fly around yeah.”
Wingspan: Do you plan on continuing to play football after high school?
Reygadas: “I am committed to the College of Wooster in Ohio where I’ll play football and lacrosse. I realized that I can’t see myself not playing the game so I wanted to give myself more opportunities to keep playing.”
