The volleyball team (11-1) made the short trip to face the sixth-place Independence Knights (4-8) Tuesday, sweeping 3-0 to extend their win streak and maintain their first-place standing in District 11-5A.
“We were very consistent throughout each of the sets and also very efficient with our defensive coverage,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said.
Sophomore Riley Wong says the team’s effort was clearly on display throughout the match.
“I feel like we gave it our best and just left everything on the court,” Wong said. “We worked as hard as we could to ensure that we would get the win.”
