An obvious function of the notes app is for writing to-do lists. The built in features of the app make creating and checking off tasks easy and efficient. Whenever I have several things to do, I automatically open the notes app to make a list.
Creating to-do lists helps me prioritize what I need to do, and hopefully helps me get it done. Between school work, house chores, and other responsibilities, sometimes things can get overwhelming. Trying to remember what needs to get done can become exhausting and add on to the initial stress of the tasks themselves. Creating a list allows you to put the tasks somewhere else, getting to them when you can, and therefore helping to clear your mind.
An example of when I might create a to-do list in my notes would be on a Sunday morning. In an attempt to begin the week on a good foot, I like to try to finish doing anything that has been stressing me out. Things such as studying for a test, doing laundry, or cleaning my room usually appear on this list. Throughout the day, I revisit my notes app to check off the tasks as I complete them. The easy access of the list helps me stay organized.
Lately, I have not done a very good job of keeping up with some of my responsibilities. It’s no coincidence that I have very few recent to-do lists in my notes app. In general, I’m more productive and motivated when I write out my tasks in a list. And of course there are days when I don’t get much done despite making a to-do list. Sometimes I’m just lazy, but creating these lists prevents me from feeling overwhelmed.
These to-do lists are one of the most practical things from my notes app. The easy and efficient manner of keeping to-do lists on my phone helps me keep up with my responsibilities and commitments.
