Frisco ISD hosts Advanced Academics Night webinar Wednesday

Frisco ISD is hosting a webinar about advanced academic options. WTV’s Dimash Baimakhan has the story.

Students and their families will be able to learn more about advanced course options at Frisco ISD in an Advanced Academics Night webinar scheduled for tonight.

The webinar, which runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m., will cover Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Dual Credit, and Career and Technical Education options available to Frisco ISD students. 

“I think that it is more targeted to our rising ninth graders or current eighth graders and any new students that have joined us from other districts, states, or countries,” lead counselor Amanda Zambiasi said. “It’s important for them to hear more than what they’re just hearing from their peers.”

DImash Baimakhan is a sophomore and it's his second year with Wingspan. Outside of school, he is part of a swim club and FTC robotics team. In his free time, je enjoys volunteering at his mosque, playing the guitar, as well as hanging out with his friends. He is looking forward to having another memorable and exciting year at Wingspan!
