The cross county season has officially come to an end for senior Sofia Golladay.
Although she made it to state, it was Golladay’s last meet so she had mixed feelings about it.
“I was happy I got to run one more race before my season was over but it was also sad knowing that was my last time competing in a cross country meet,” Said Golladay “I feel good about my performance and I’m happy I got to end my season at state.”
Golladay’s impact on the Redhawks cross country program goes beyond making state in the eyes of head coach Khera Vay.
“Sofia has done an incredible job running for Liberty Cross Country for four years,” Vay said prior to the state meet. “She has had ups and downs and persevere through challenges and injuries. She has been a member of some really special teams, a leader for many years and has left the program better than it was her freshman year. She has set a standard for excellence and defines what it means to run in this program.”
